Hi,

Never used the this software, looks good ... but ... I need some help:-

Getting the following error running the server for the first time:
"Component 'msinet.ocx' or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

PC:
Windows XP Pro (SP3) - All MS subsequent updates installed
IE7 (7.0.5730.13)
(Ample CPU/RAM etc)

Already tried to resolve:
1) 'Repaired' installation using latest download from the website
2) File exists in %WINDIR%\system32
3) Unregistered/registered msinet.ocx (regsvr32 (/u switch))
4) Replaced file
5) Downloaded and re-installed VB6 sp6

Any ideas gratefully received!

Thanks in advance,

Simon

Hi

Are you using the sw with the windows admin account or power user?

It's best if you do.

Regards

Mike

Thanks for your prompt response and apologies for the delay in my reply ... it's my day off!

PC is logged on using a Domain Admin user account (Domain Admins member of local Administrators), but provided SurfShop an alternative Domain Admin user account.

Thanks in advance!

Make sure you are able to install apps fully with the user you are working with.
